The Founder
Polatam was created by Tam Hee Park, an acclaimed Korean actress with a keen knowledge of beauty and skincare. Park’s elegant sensibility comes though in not only the formulas but in the presentation. Polatam focuses on high-quality, non-irritating ingredients for an innovative and minimalist approach to skin products. Yes, we’re pretty excited about bringing more of Polatam to the stateside.
Clean Beauty
Clean beauty means a non-toxic product that is made without a long list of complicated ingredients linked to harmful health effects, skin irritation, or skin sensitization. Here is a few for example; parabens, phthalates, PEGs, ethanolamines, SLS, synthetic fragrance, dyes… Polatam leaves these out of their formulas. Instead they use plenty of mild and safe, EWG-friendly (rated green) ingredients to keep skin looking clear and healthy.
Star Ingredients
Korean Oak Tree Sap Extract: Loaded with natural minerals, nutrients and antioxidants, this wonderworking ingredient is ultra hydrating and brightening.
Shea Butter: Well known for its nourishing and moisturizing benefits, shea butter protects skin’s natural barrier.
Argan Oil: A rare oil that is high in both oleic (omega 9) and linoleic (omega 6) fatty acids, which aid not only dry, dehydrated skin but also acne-prone skin. This oil also reduces inflammation and improves skin texture.
Ceramide: A natural component to our body and skin, ceramide plumps skin and retains moisture while helping to protect the skin’s natural barrier.
Better Cleansing
This is Polatam’s way of cleansing; not just removing impurities from skin but also replenishing moisture and nutrients. The Polatam Pure Moist Cleansing line is made to cleanse and purify without leaving skin stripped dry or tight. Regardless of age or skin type, you should avoid cleansers that leave your skin feeling so squeaky clean that it’s tight. This is a telltale sign of skin that’s been stripped of not just the unwanted oily impurities but skin’s natural moisture barrier.
Better Aging
“Better Aging” is Polatam’s way of anti-aging. Naturally maturing skin while keeping its youthful glow by retaining balanced moisture and strength is what Polatam seeks to provide. The Polatam Deep Moist line includes two luxuriously rich moisturizers; Cream and Melting Rich Cream made to absorbs quickly and easily to leave skin deeply moisturized and nourished without feeling heavy.
Better Sheet Masking
Polatam's skin-loving, rich essence is effectively delivered to skin using a mask material made of Cupro fibers. Cupro fibers (cellulose fibers derived from cotton linter, ultra-fine and silky) can hold ten times more essence than regular cotton fibers, which means more concentrated essence for your skin. This mask is soft, thin, breathable and hypoallergenic.
